Mother-Daughter: Self-Esteem

One blog that I read here and there is "We are THAT Family... you know the ones". It's not a "crunchy" blog but I stumble upon it quite often in homeschool circles. Anyway.. the point today is that Kristen has written a wonderful post about a mother's affect on her daughter's self-esteem.

Now, I am not one to overly-use words such as "dysfunctional" and "self-esteem" and many other words that once held meaning but now, thanks to talk shows, fall into the realm of psychobabble. Mainly I don't use them because they are, in fact, overused to the degree that they have lost true meaning in the minds of the general public. So.. toss all of that aside. Think of what the word "esteem" means: The regard in which one is held. Usually a "high regard".

Ok. Now go read Kristen's post at : Esteem Yourself, Raise Hers

Happy Mothering!
