Updates from Primal

It has certainly been a long while since I've posted. Life has been busy (and not always in positive ways!) and so I've found writing to be a challenge. Today's post is on a more personal level.

First, my daughter is pregnant. Yes, another primal mom in the making! Of course, she's been "in the making" her entire life. She's learned what she lives; lives what she learns. But the point here is that she's gearing up for a baby to enter the world they way they have been since Eve.. in the comfort and warmth of home and family. So that's my personal news: I'm going to be a 39 year old primal grandma! (Yes the picture is of my glowing daughter!)

My other big news is that Primal Mommies is moving beyond being a support/educational group; beyond a myspace page; beyond a blog... Primal Mommies now is an online store. It's in the works at the moment. I'm loading all the products on the store. The store is, of course, geared toward the natural mother and carries things such as cloth diapers, natural soaps, natural baby care products. However, we're going to offer things for the "nearly natural" or even "conventional" moms as well. For instance, there are gift baskets and diaper cakes. I'm offering cloth diaper cakes and disposable as well simply to provide more variety in the designs. I am not the maker of the diaper cakes but would like everyone to have their options (some of these diaper cakes are topped with a bottle for decorative purposes and we all know I'm not a bottle-pusher!)

Primal Mothering is about mothering through basic natural laws. But it's also about choices. Choices on whether to vaccinate, or not vaccinate, delay vaccination or pick and choose the vaccinations. Some primal mothers use cloth diapers; others do not; some do not use diapers but choose Elimination Communication. And so, in the spirit of "choice", Primal Mommies, the store, will provide choices for the women we're here to serve.
So the new year will bring a new business and a new baby. What a way to start!

The above photo is my personal property. That is my daughter. No permission is given to use that photo in any way, shape or form. Thank you for your respect.
