I recently read a book called WANT WHAT YOU HAVE, and it's message is simply that we often strive for things we think we would be happier with and overlook appreciating what we already have. The next time you find yourself chasing after your toddler, try doing so without your feet.
Allow me to explain.......
As a primal mom, single woman, and author of primal mothering books that are on demand as rarely as the rarity of our primal mothering population I am poor as poor can be, so every friday finds me waiting two hours in line at the local food bank. There is this cute little toddler, Daniel who runs around entertaining himself while his mother makes every effort to keep up with him.
His mother is not wearing shoes because she has no feet. For that matter, she has no shins and no knees. Wheeling herself about like the hero she is, her chair zooms after that little boy, grabs him up in her strong arms, and gives him a big bear hug. He melts into her chest, then squirms away only to begin the chase anew.
Don't forget to kiss your feet today, and marvel at the power of maternalism!
